Late notice, but today, November 18, 2009 at 1:00 pm eastern the CDC will offer a webcast for people with diabetes about H1N1 Flu and the issues faced by folks with diabetes.
In a nut shell, if you have diabetes, it is recommended you get an H1N1 vaccine. See the CDC-Diabetes site for details or the link to the Webcast.

My sister has juvenile diabetes, and I am working on a national act charity concert to raise money for JDRF. Currently, I am in the running for a $50,000 grant from PepsiCo, but I need more people to vote for this ides. I was hoping that you can publish this in a blog so that I can further promote the concert, and ultimately raise more money and awareness for juvenile diabetes. The website is Voting takes place during the entire month of June and you can vote once per day. It would really help if you can promote the idea through your blog so that more people can vote. Together, we can be that much lcoser to finding a cure.
